Haunted Forest Trail
The annual Haunted Forest Trail is this Saturday the 22nd from 5-10pm at Camp Elmore. Choose between a “scary” and “not so scary” trail, games and food from the Heron Grill.

Family Fun Day at Camp Elmore
Come out Saturday, October 8 from 9am – 3pm and try all the different Sports, Games, and see the many groups bringing you fun all day! This year’s theme is Wacky Sports.
What is it? The Cub Scout Family Fun Day is an opportunity for boys and their families to start the Cub Scout year off with a fun outdoor event. This Cub Family Fun Day will feature games and activities designed for the entire family.
The event fee includes your lunch on Saturday and the Wacky Sports patch.

Fishing Derby!
The Pine Island District Fishing Derby is open to Cub Scouts and their siblings on Saturday, October 15 from 8:30am – 12pm at Camp Elmore in Davie, to learn skills like tying knots, casting, bait preparation, fish identification, proper fish release methods. The first 150 preregistered Scouts and sibling will receive a FREE FISHING ROD WITH A TACKLE BOX and an event patch (While supplies last). Register here – https://sfcbsa.org/events/pi-fishing-derby/
Activities? Fishing contest with prizes awarded for biggest fish caught by a Tiger, Wolf, Bear, WEBELOS and Sibling. Special recognition trophy for Most Fish Caught overall and the Smallest Catch. Be sure and bring your lucky tackle and bait! But some will be available for you. Bring your own snacks if needed. Water will be provided but bring a cup.
Join Scouting Night
Hello everyone,
Thursday Sept 15th is our annual recruitment drive, JSN, Join Scouting Night.
Please encourage your scouts to invite neighbors and friends new and old to try scouting. We will be at Manatee Bay School cafeteria at 630pm through to 745pm.
The evening is aimed to inform prospective parents and scouts about the scouting program with the leaders and committee being available to answer questions, explain the program and help parents make an informed choice about scouting.
